Dr. Bunger is professor of General Internal Medicine and a faculty affiliate with the Center for the Advancement of Team Science, Analytics and Systems Thinking in Health Services and Implementation Science Research (CATALYST) at The Ohio State University. Her research centers on how health and human service organizations collaborate to implement evidence-based interventions, promote service access across systems and integrate care for children and families. She is trained as a social worker, behavioral health services researcher and implementation scientist. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, U.S. Children’s Bureau, among others.
In her new role, Dr. Bunger will co-lead oversight of the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Program to foster engagement and collaboration in clinical and translational research. Dr. Bunger will drive strategic initiatives that focus on advancing engagement and creating connections with community stakeholders across Ohio and developing partnerships with state entities that support improving public health through innovative programming, educational opportunities and community-lead initiatives. Dr. Bunger’s work will also include collaboration with state and local leaders to enhance health outcomes across the state of Ohio.
